The number of entries for the XXIX Sitges Half Marathon now exceeds 1,800. With this amount the organization expects to exceed the 3,000 participants enrolled by adding the Half Marathon and 10K Career, held for the first time in Sitges.
In the previous edition the figure surpassed the 2,600 runners turning the half marathon in one of the most anticipated sporting events and participatory annual calendar. The Department of Sports City of Sitges, the organizer of sporting events, VIP area, drive the two tests, 21 and 10 km respectively, which will take place next January 15.
The kick-off of the 10K race will be at 9.45 pm in the Paseo de la Ribera with Avenida Sofia, and the half marathon at 10.15 am from the same point. The route will follow the runners from the frigate to the Vinyet through Rocamar and the promenade. Therefore, the test day will be traffic restrictions that may affect residents of different sectors of the municipality and will be announced by the approximation of the date of conclusion of racing.
The test is part of the 6th Challenge Half Marathon / Grand Prix Barcelona Provincial Council and beyond the sport, includes other activities such as the Fair of the Corridor, to be installed at the Promenade on the January 14 10.00 to 20.00 hours, and the volunteer party on Thursday, January 19 at 19.00 in the Sports Bar Sitges.
